Sideshow Games are a great attraction in their own right, and compliment the amusement rides adding to the carnival atmosphere, at a wide variety of special events.

Our Sideshow Games trailer is just like the spectacular attractions seen at the EKKA, with lots of colourful prizes, flashing lights, and fairground artwork. The most popular games include Laughing Clowns and Lucky Ducks, where every players wins a prize.

Sideshow Games can be booked on a do-it-yourself "dry hire" basis. Otherwise, at certain fund-raisng events, we can provide Sideshow Games on a Share of Profit format, whereby Jubilee pays a share of total sales to the organiser.

Category - Interactive Family Attraction

Financials - Available on either a Share of Sales or Flat-Rate hire basis

Space Required Sideshow Trailer - 8m in width by 5m in depth (plus space at the front for queuing/spectators)

Space Required Clown Stand only - 3m in width by 1m in depth (plus space at the front for queuing/spectators)

Power - Single phase power required. Available from the operator

Age Restrictions - Suitable for all ages.

Supervision - Full supervision by Jubilee Attendants is supplied on Profit Share events. Supervisors are also available when the Sideshows are booked on a "hire" basis, however normally the hirer provides a person to operate.

Prizes - All prizes are supplied by Jubilee Entertainment on Profit Share events. When the Sideshow Games are booked on a "hire" basis, the hirer normally provides the prizes and signage.


Operation - Carnival Clowns

  • The Sideshow Clowns are supplied on a Stand. We will supply the Ping Pong Balls.
  • Each player gets 5 Ping Pong Balls, which are placed in the Clown's mouth (one at a time, otherwise they jam).
  • The five Balls make their way into slots at the front of the Clowns. The Slots are numbered 1 to 6.
  • At the end of the Game, the player adds up the total score. Scores range from 5 (5 balls in the #1 slot) to 30 (5 balls in the #6 slot).
  • In terms of Prize levels, this is based on probability i.e the lower the probability that a particular total will be achieved, the higher the value of that prize.
  • Normally, every player wins a prize of some value, however, the way the Game is played is up to the Hirer.

Equipment Required - Carnival Clowns

To operate the Carnival Clowns, you will need:

  • Access to single-phase power (The Clowns needs about 2 amps).
  • A relatively level area to set up the Clown Stand.
  • Prizes of varying value on display in containers on tables.
  • Signage to suit the way you wish to structure the prizes.
  • Float.
  • Access to a tap and hose to fill the Pond.
  • A marquee or Shade Shelter approximately 2.5m by 2.5m.
  • Plenty of patience, a big smile and good sense of humour!

Winning Numbers - Carnival Clowns

Based on a $4.00 Game, Score Levels and recommended prize values are as follows:

  • No 5 or No 30 - $18 to $25 Prize
  • No 6 or No 29 - $10 to $15 Prize
  • No 7 or No 28 - $8 to $12 Prize
  • No 8 or No 27 - $5 to $8 Prize
  • No 9 or No 26 - $3 to $4 Prize
  • No 10 or No 25 - $1.50 to $2 Prize
  • No 10 or No 25 - 80 cents to $1
  • No 16 or No 22 - 50 to 60 cents
  • All other scores - 40 to 50 cents

This can be simplified or changed to suit the way you plan to operate. Quite often, the cost of playing the Game is reduced to $2.00 or $3.00, with lower value prizes on offer.

  • A reticulated pond will be supplied along with 100+ Floating Ducks and small Fishing Nets.
  • Each Player scoops one duck from the Pond using the Fishing Net.
  • Each duck is numbered 5 to 30 with no number 9.
  • In terms of Prize levels, this is based on probability i.e the more Ducks with a particular number, the lower the value of that prize.
  • Normally, every player wins a prize of some value, however, the way the Game is played is up to the Hirer.
